🚀 Solana community just made history! The network has approved the Alpenglow consensus upgrade (SIMD-0326) with an incredible 99% support. This upgrade is set to slash block finality times from 12.8 seconds to just 150 milliseconds — putting Solana on par with, or even faster than, Visa-level performance.

⚡ The magic comes from two innovations: Votor, which finalizes blocks in as little as one round of voting, and Rotor, a new data propagation layer that speeds up block distribution. Together, they bring Solana closer to true real-time blockchain performance while keeping decentralization intact.
