Yesterday, Sui encountered a prolonged disruption resulting in a network stall of approximately six hours, stemming from an internal divergence in validator consensus processing.

The team successfully identified the issue and implemented a fix. Subsequently, validators elected to upgrade to this solution, allowing normal consensus to resume and restoring the network to fully operational performance.

Although this interruption was unintended, it demonstrated that Sui’s safety-focused architecture functioned exactly as designed to protect the network. We thank you for your patience.
