They voted against the people! 🇧🇷🇺🇸
While millions of Brazilians struggle to pay their bills at the end of the month, the overwhelming majority of PT deputies decided to weigh even more heavily on the people's pockets. No less than 92% of the PT bench voted to increase the electricity bill. Yes, you read that right. Instead of seeking solutions to ease the financial burden on families, they chose to do exactly the opposite.
The speech is always the same: social justice, protection for the poorest, fighting inequality. But in practice, what we see is a government that punishes those who work, those who produce and those who try to survive with dignity. The electricity bill, which is already one of the biggest villains in the family budget, will become even more expensive due to the direct decision of those who promise to defend the neediest.
It is a slap in the face to the citizen who wakes up early, faces crowded transportation and works hard all month to pay a bill that only increases. This vote reveals the true commitment of this group: to maintain privileges, feed the bloated State and transfer the bill to the poorest population. No cutting costs, no downsizing. The plan is always the same: charge more from those who can least pay.
And the most revolting thing is to see that many still applaud this type of policy. There is a portion of the population that continues to be deceived by outdated narratives, without realizing that they are being used as pws. Meanwhile, the real people, those who pay taxes and live off their salaries, suffer the consequences of irresponsible and cruel decisions.
There is no excuse. There is no technical or social justification that explains this vote. It is a clear portrait of a power project that sustains itself by sacrificing the people.
It is increasingly difficult to deny the perversity of a government that claims to protect the poor, but continually acts to impoverish them.
