Will they close themselves off without diversification?

Hardly

They initially built BASE as another L2, but they decided to build an eco where they could bring liquidity from outside

In essence, Abstract are their antithesis, they originaly planed to do the same, but ended up wrong - no liquidity, apps are weird, no multi-chain

They fkd up - stuck inside the ecosystem and can't establish communication with builders/KOLs AND not atracting anyone from outside

Base built different

Unlike Abstract, which didn't work out, base has its own thriving ecosystem, and funnels are being set up from other chains. Here's what they're doing now:

- On September 5, they launched a native bridge from SOL to $BASE. Amidst the hype surrounding the token launch, they are giving users the opportunity developers migrate their applications

- Zora hinted supporting $SOL today. So solana authors, builders, creators, NFT collections will be able to create their own Creator Coins. What's next?

We're waiting for creators from other ecosystems. #Monad ? #Hyperliquid ? Everyone will have their own creator coin on Base

- Zora is an ecosystem. And Farcaster is an ecosystem

In short, even if in some parallel world Base failed (wtf), they still have ecosystems at their disposal that will be sustainable (well, at least they'll have a chance)

- AERO and $VELODROME are merging. Aerodrome now operates not only in base, but will also be a multi-chain liquidity center
