Polygon (sākotnēji Matic Network) ir 2. slāņa / mērogošanas un savietojamības protokols, kas izstrādāts, lai uzlabotu Ethereum — samazinot gāzes maksājumus, palielinot caurlaidspēju un uzlabojot izstrādātāju lietojamību.

POL kā dzimtais token / MATIC aizstājējs
POL token būtībā ir tehnisks un ekonomisks uzlabojums: MATIC tiek migrēts 1:1 uz POL vairāku gadu pārejas periodā.
Pēc migrācijas POL kalpos kā dzimtais token visā Polygon 2.0 ekosistēmā gāzei, likmju noteikšanai un citam.
“Hipermākoniskais” token koncepts
POL tiek raksturots kā “hipermākonis” — proti, tas paredzēts, lai sniegtu vairāk lietderības nekā tradicionālie tokeni, ļaujot likmju noteicējiem/validātoriem piedalīties vairākās ķēdēs un iespējot slāņu protokolus, piemēram, atkārtotu likmju noteikšanu utt.
Emitēšana, piedāvājums & tokenomika
Projekts ir ierosinājis kontrolētu emisiju un inflāciju, lai atbalstītu ekosistēmas izaugsmi. Agrīnajā projektēšanā ir noteikts ierobežojums, cik daudz inflācija var palielināties (piemēram, pēc noteikta laika perioda).
Piemēram, līdz 2029. gadam ir plānota aptuveni 2% gada inflācija (sadali starp validātora atlīdzībām un ekosistēmas atbalstu).
