The human body houses two 'spirits': one is the 'Spirit of Consumption,' drawn to the five poisons—greed, anger, delusion, pride, and lust—enjoying comparison, vanity, and easily succumbing to various temptations; the other is the 'Original Spirit,' originally a beam of light. Without the body as its vessel, it cannot function. Its essence is love, light, and the virtues of kindness, morality, wisdom, and blessings.
