For those who were not around, Jan 2018 through summer of 2020, and Dec 2021 through summer of 2024, were YEARS of financial “experts” gleefully pronouncing Bitcoin dead every day

For years there was a very loud “Bitcoin can only do well during low interest rates” crowd

As if it was a matter of fact

Don’t hear much out of them these days after Bitcoin is rising to ATHs during high interest rates and a global trade war

🤷‍♂️

Every new company, business, or merchant (large or small) that accepts Bitcoin for payment does another blow to the dream of stablecoins sustaining the fiat system

My suggestion in DC this week:

Break “digital assets” into:

1) Bitcoin
2) Stablecoins
3) Everything else

Have councils, meetings, working groups, legislation for each

No more “crypto” (useless term that conflates wildly different things)

Reduce grift, stop wasting time

Went to the Jefferson memorial and left thinking about Bitcoin development 😅
