📣 IMPORTANT: LIMITED TIME ACHIEVEMENT
Play a duel in the first week of launch to unlock the Spirit Force Week 1 Badge and prove you were there before Aavegotchi scaled from smol GHST wagers all the way up to millions of GHST wagered daily.
How to Duel
Download the Game
First, download Spirit Force Arena from the Aavegotchi Game Center or Hyperplay and connect your wallet.
Create or Join a Match
Once you’re in, choose Duels mode, select an Aavegotchi (if you own one) or a Champion (if you don’t), and spin up a room.
Currently, anyone eligible in your selected division can join the match. There are eight divisions in total, ranging from Ensign to Colonel. For those with Aavegotchis, you can create a match in whichever Division your Aavegotchi ranks in. For those without one, you will start in the Ensign division and fight your way up.
Get randomly matched against another player or join a private arena to duel against your favorite Gotchigang frenemy and settle those long-standing grudges.
Stake GHST
Get ready to duel! If you don’t have GHST already, you’ll be prompted to deposit GHST into Spirit Force Arena via the “Deposit GHST” dialog.
These amounts are small during this early alpha stage, but once our system is fully battle-tested, they will increase. For the time being, the minimum per-match stake is 0.1 GHST, with the maximum set at 1 GHST.
Note: GHST deposits are exclusively supported by Base. If your GHST is on Polygon, you can bridge via Superbridge or fast bridges like DeBridge.
You can also swap for GHST using Aerodrome, Uniswap, or any Base supporting DEX aggregator.
Fight!
Try your best to defeat your opponent. To help you in your battle, you may bring in HP/AP Potions and Protolick drones.
Don’t have any? The best way to earn potions and Protolicks is by leveling up your Aavegotchi Gaming Profile.
Come At Me Fren

A look at where Pixelcraft Studios’ energy is going in the year ahead.
Over the past few months, the Aavegotchi ecosystem has gone through a quieter period along with the rest of the gaming sector of crypto. That has naturally led to uncertainty and renewed discussion around direction and priorities. This post is meant to clearly outline where Pixelcraft Studios is focusing its energy in 2026 as we build Aavegotchi alongside the DAO and broader community.
The following is a (non-exhaustive!) list of our priorities in the first half of 2026.
Quick Summary
We’re prioritizing mobile-first, crypto-native games on Base in 2026
DeFi Dungeon expands from alpha into a live experiment with faster iteration
Rektless launches on mobile in Q1
Gotchiverse gets incremental upgrades and collaborations
Guardians gets maintenance + events, not major content
We believe the next phase of crypto gaming is about earning attention, improving distribution, and delivering experiences that are native to crypto.
That means focusing on:
Games that are fast to understand and easy to play, with built-in shareability
Onchain and DeFi mechanics that add real value and lean into crypto-native behavior
Tight feedback loops between gameplay, ownership, and game economies
In 2026, we’re emphasizing rapid experimentation, supported by new AI-first workflows that allow us to iterate faster and test ideas more efficiently - particularly on mobile and on Base, where we see the strongest opportunity for growth.
What We’re Shipping First
Expanding DeFi Dungeon’s Reach
DeFi Dungeon has shown promising early traction with alpha testers. The next step is to bring it to a wider Aavegotchi audience - and beyond - to better understand how players engage with its mechanics over time.
Our focus here is on:
Lowering barriers to entry and improving retention
Improving mobile accessibility
Continuing to experiment with degen-friendly mechanics that reflect where crypto gaming is heading
True to the year’s focus, we are intentionally treating DeFi Dungeon as a live experiment - iterating quickly and letting player behavior guide what comes next.

Your feedback is appreciated and will help determine how the game develops!
Rektless: Mobile Launch
Q1 will see the mobile release of Rektless, a fast-paced competitive side-scroller.
Rektless is a focused effort to ship a complete, polished game loop centered on skill-based gameplay. Non-holders and Aavegotchi holders can play on equal footing, while holders benefit from deeper customization - rendering their own Gotchis using our new, open-sourced sprite collection.
Rektless will ship with four Alchemica themed courses in addition to the Base themed map seen in the image above.
👉 A desktop preview is available now at https://rektless.gg
Gotchiverse: A Maturing Homeworld
Late last year, we introduced the ability for any ERC-20 token to spawn, be gathered, and be lost in battle within the Gotchiverse. These bespoke mechanics remain live and active.
Our 3D homeworld continues to host REALM farming and ad-hoc P2E events, particularly during Discord Community Calls (Saturdays, 2–3pm UTC).
Rather than rushing major expansions, our focus is on thoughtful iteration on the existing stack.
Look forward to incremental updates throughout 2026 that focus on expanding the world's capabilities as well as collaborating with other crypto-native communities.

Gotchi Guardians: Live on Steam
Gotchi Guardians remains live on Steam and will continue to be supported throughout 2026. Players can expect:
Bug fixes and general upkeep
Ongoing playability and stability improvements
Occasional tournaments and events, including DAO-led or partner collaborations
That said, we want to set clear expectations: major new content updates for Gotchi Guardians are unlikely in 2026. As a studio, we’re choosing to focus our development energy on titles earlier in their lifecycle and more closely aligned with our mobile-first, onchain strategy.
We remain proud of Gotchi Guardians and deeply grateful to everyone who continues to play and support it.

The Aavegotchi Dapp & Marketplace
Pixelcraft continues to maintain and improve aavegotchi.com and the Baazaar NFT marketplace with an emphasis on reliability, security, and open-source development.
This includes:
Ongoing maintenance and performance improvements
Select UX and feature upgrades where they provide clear value
Ensuring the Dapp remains a stable foundation for games and assets built on top
The Aavegotchi Dapp is now live on Base App and we continue to explore ways to optimize for the mobile platform. If you haven’t already, consider joining Base App today.
Reviving Open-Source Development (Powered by AI)
Aavegotchi has a long history of community-built, open-source games. Some of those experiences have fallen out of maintenance over time, and in 2026 we’re taking steps to bring key classics back online - starting with Gotchi Miner.
Mine as many blocks as you can when you play Gotchi Miner.
In parallel, we’re working to better support builders by:
Exploring AI-centric tools (Agents, MCPs) to lower entry barriers for developers
Updating documentation so it serves as a reliable source-of-truth for AI and SDK integration
Continuing support for the Unity SDK and open sprite libraries
Our goal is to enable building and experimentation across the Aavegotchi ecosystem easier and more accessible.
Expanding GHST Awareness and Utility
GHST, the fully liquid eco-governance token of Aavegotchi, remains a crucial marker by which the wider crypto community values the Aavegotchi project.
With our migration from Polygon to Base fully completed in 2025, Pixelcraft is now exploring new ways of expanding GHST utility beyond governance and unit of account for the Aavegotchi ecosystem. In-game consumption, staking and staker-aligned perks are some areas we are very interested in pursuing.
This area of research is open for all in AavegotchiDAO to contribute, so as always, if you have an idea on how to expand GHST utility or awareness, make a thread in the DAO forum.
A Year of Focused Execution
2026 is about focus, shipping, and rapid iteration.
But Aavegotchi isn't just one company. It's a whole community, and we're building together. We welcome your active participation, whether it's playtesting games and giving feedback, creating tools to expand the ecosystem, discussing ideas in the DAO forum, or attending the weekly hangouts and making your voice heard.
If we all work hard together, Aavegotchi can and will have a bright future in 2026.
Here's to a productive year ahead, frens.

After weeks of intense discussion, AavegotchiDAO has voted to launch a brand-new season of Rarity Farming. Can you believe we’re already ELEVEN seasons in?!
This season is especially historic: for the first time ever, Rarity Farming will be hosted entirely on Base. The migration to Base opens our community to a whole new wave of players and collectors ready to join the Gotchiverse.
Even better, the DAO has approved a total of 3 million GHST across two confirmed seasons. Season 11 kicks off this week, and Season 12 is already locked in for later this year. With this massive prize pool secured, Base users can dive in with confidence knowing there are serious rewards waiting on the other side.
The excitement is real, and the competition is fierce. Acquire the shiniest wearables you can and get ready to strike a pose!
Just like before, this season will run for eight weeks, broken down into four rounds that each last two weeks. At the end of each round, we’ll take on-chain snapshots of the leaderboards and hand out some awesome prizes, including $GHST and NFT badges for your Aavegotchis.
Let’s make Season 11 the best one yet!
Rarity Farming FAQs
What is Rarity Farming?
Rarity Farming is an entirely onchain (own-to-earn) competition that offers players the chance to earn rewards by boosting rarity levels of their Aavegotchi NFTs. By equipping Aavegotchis with the rarest Wearable NFTs, petting them twice (not once) daily, and participating in XP-packed events, players are lining them up for some serious $GHST rewards across three distinct leaderboards.
Each element plays a crucial role in boosting your Aavegotchi's standing in the realm of Rarity Farming. So, gear up, show some love, and hit those events hard – your Aavegotchi and your wallet will thank you for it!
Show Me the Money!
This season, 1.5 million GHST (more than $700k USD at the time of writing) is up for grabs during the eight-week Rarity Farming period.
With 3 million GHST total confirmed across Seasons 11 and 12, there has never been a better time for new frens on Base to acquire their first Aavegotchi.
How to Participate?
To participate in Rarity Farming Season 11, you just need to own an Aavegotchi, or alternatively, you can borrow one from a player who is offering a split on $GHST earned during the borrowing period with Gotchi Lending.
AavegotchiDAO Funded
The most active gaming DAO in the world has once again stepped up to the plate. Not only did the proposal for Rarity Farming SZN 11 pass with ease, but player rewards will once again be fully funded by AavegotchiDAO!
Payout Allocations
The DAO has confirmed the same allocations as in recent seasons:
Rarity (50%)
Kinship (20%)
XP (10%)
As well 20% reserved for Gotchi Battler, the turn-based game based entirely on each Aavegotchi’s onchain traits. Their tournaments will coincide with the new seasons throughout the rest of this year.
As always, all participating Aavegotchis have the chance to win non-transferable badges and trophies designed by Xibot, the summoner and lead artist of Aavegotchi. These rare badges are deposited directly into your Aavegotchi to forever prove its unique onchain history of success.
Four Ways to Win
Rarity Score
Rarity is the main rewards pool, with 50% of player rewards allocated to this leaderboard. An Aavegotchi’s rarity score is determined based on a number of factors, including:
Randomly generated traits when the Aavegotchi is summoned
Points earned from equipping Wearables and Wearable sets
Changes to trait scores earned by leveling up
Changes to trait scores made possible by the aging mechanic
To climb this leaderboard, either purchase or summon the rarest Aavegotchi you can, then continue to boost their rarity using the right combination of Wearables and Wearable sets.
Kinship
Climbing the Kinship ladder is less capital-intensive than Rarity. To increase your Aavegotchi’s kinship, simply pet it twice a day (once every 12 hours) or feed it kinship potions.
It’s also important to note that for each 24-hour period that passes without petting your Aavegotchi, its kinship score will decrease by one. To climb this leaderboard, make sure you interact with your GotchiGang every 12 hours!
XP
XP (Experience Points) is the final leaderboard, which allows anyone with an internet connection the ability to earn XP on their Aavegotchi’s behalf. Players can earn XP by voting in the AavegotchiDAO, attending community events, or playing Aavegotchi games like the tower defense/strategy hybrid, Gotchi Guardians.
To climb this leaderboard, stay active in the Aavegotchi Discord and keep an eye on our social media platforms so you know how and when you can earn XP!
Gotchi Battler
Craft your ultimate Aavegotchi squad, fine-tune their formation, and secure victory in thrilling battles to the death!
The tournament begins shortly after the main Rarity Farming leaderboards conclude. Stay tuned for specific tournament-related details!
To participate, you simply need to register your team during the registration period at the start of the tournament; then, your team will automatically progress through each round. Powered by Chainlink’s VRF random number generator, you can view all the battles on the Gotchi Battler website each day.
The prize pool for this tournament is 300K GHST, so significant prizes await those who manage their Aavegotchi squads most aptly!
Don’t have 5 Aavegotchis? No sweat! You can build a team using Aavegotchi’s onchain lending market.
Structure of Season 11
Get ready for an electrifying eight-week spectacle where Aavegotchi takes center stage! Track the bi-weekly snapshots at the dedicated leaderboards linked here.
Download this image for a handy reference
After each snapshot, rewards are allocated, and an announcement will be made once $GHST is distributed. Rewards will be dropped directly into your Aavegotchi's smart contract escrow and can be viewed and withdrawn by visiting your Aavegotchi’s interface at aavegotchi.com > My Inventory.
That’s it!
Rarity Farming Season 11 is here, and the first snapshot is only two weeks away! Make sure to have your Gotchis’ outfits ready to go if they want to win those tasty GHST rewards.
With 1.5M GHST at stake and a total of 3M GHST confirmed across two seasons, rarity farming continues, but this time on Base!
Take care of your Gotchis and they’ll take care of you.
SINGAPORE — Gotchi Guardians, a free-to-play multiplayer roguelite tower defense game directed by Gwent and The Witcher 3 veteran Jason Slama, launched worldwide on Steam this July 30 for Windows and macOS. Developed by Pixelcraft Studios, the globally distributed team behind the Aavegotchi franchise, Gotchi Guardians combines high-stakes PvP strategy, evolving arenas, and an original soundtrack from legendary composer David Wise (Donkey Kong Country, Star Fox Adventures).
In this 8-player brawler, every match is a race for survival. Players choose from a roster of quirky Guardians—like the stalwart Knight or the chaotic Farmer—and face off in competitive tower defense arenas where environmental hazards, randomized events, and player-chosen waves force constant adaptation. Each round introduces new modifiers and surprise challenges, making no two matches alike.
Gameplay revolves around a strategic events system:
Be the last player standing against wave after wave of enemies.
Players must build, upgrade and place towers to help defend themselves.
Adapt to different enemies and randomly selected events to take the lead.
Buy and upgrade items to give you the tools to survive.
“I’m incredibly proud of what the team has accomplished,” said Jason Slama, Game Director of Gotchi Guardians. “This is a game that rewards creativity and quick thinking—and we’ve packed it with personality and surprises for strategy fans.”
Gotchi Guardians features six playable characters at launch, three arena maps (each with their own hazards and soundtrack), and a robust progression system with unlockable talent trees. Players earn G-Bucks, the in-game currency, which can be used to collect cosmetic skins, tower upgrades, map reskins, and more.
Pixelcraft Studios is headquartered in Singapore and operates as a fully remote, globally distributed game studio. Gotchi Guardians is the team’s first title on Steam and marks a major milestone after two years of development and public beta testing.

Today, Aavegotchi begins a new chapter on Base and is more aligned than ever with the future of Ethereum.
This migration marks the definitive end of our multi-year deployment on Polygon. All smart contracts on Polygon have been frozen, and the canonical home of Aavegotchi assets, gameplay, and governance is now Base.
Why Base?
This move wasn’t made lightly. The Aavegotchi ecosystem is deeply rooted in Ethereum values—decentralization, smart contract purity, and open-source community coordination. In Base, we’ve found a chain that matches that ethos, while also offering the technical maturity we need for the years ahead.
Four core reasons drove our decision:
💪 World-Class Infrastructure
Base’s engineering team brings top-tier reliability and scaling knowledge. As we evolve from experimental NFT games to a full-blown onchain protocol, we need infrastructure that can scale securely.
🟦 Powerful Distribution with the New Base App
Formerly known as Coinbase Wallet, the new Base app makes onboarding smoother than ever. Deep integration with Aavegotchi means new users can now explore the Gotchiverse with minimal friction and full self-custody.
♦ Ethereum-Aligned, Without Token Complexity
Base inherits Ethereum’s values without introducing a competing token. This simplifies our economic model and keeps Aavegotchi aligned with the L1 we’ve always believed in.
⛓ Onchain Culture, Not Just Blockspace
Base is more than a network. From Onchain Summer to developer-friendly APIs, Base fosters the kind of experimentation and composability Aavegotchi was built for.
How the Migration Works
Polygon contracts are frozen: Thanks to upgradeable smart contracts, all Aavegotchi-related contracts on Polygon have been officially paused. They are now view-only, non-transferable, and final.*
Snapshots taken, NFTs cloned: Every Aavegotchi, wearable, parcel, and verified community asset has been mirrored onto Base using a secure snapshot + minting process.
No user action required: If you owned NFTs on Polygon, your assets are most likely already waiting for you on Base. Just open your wallet on Base and you’ll see your gotchis—same IDs, same traits, fresh new home.**
* Old tokens remain visible on Polygon as non-transferable ERC721s for historical continuity. ** A small number of users held their assets on Polygon in smart contracts without owners. We were unable to transfer these assets to you, so please reach out with a support ticket if you are missing any assets!
Note: Gotchiverse REALM Parcels, Installation, Tiles, and Alchemica/GLTR are not included in this migration wave. They will be migrated within a few weeks, after all testing is complete.
GHST, the DAO, and What Comes Next
Our native token, GHST, began its liquidity migration to Base last year—and we’ll continue to encourage further adoption on Base as our ecosystem expands. At the same time, AavegotchiDAO is transitioning to Base as its governance layer, where all future proposals and voting will occur.
Base is now the staging ground for new games like Gotchi Guardians, DAO products, and community collaborations that reflect the Aavegotchi spirit: decentralized, composable, and unapologetically onchain.
Welcome to the Base Era
Over the coming weeks, expect updates on new smart contract tooling, native Base integrations, and exciting collaborations.
Whether you’re an old-school Gotchigang member or Base-curious newcomer, there’s never been a better time to check your wallet and rejoin the fun.
