crypto conferences are definitely becoming monotonous. so much so that even though the space is growing at accelerated levels, the messages are increasingly insular. speaking to those who already know.

under discussed in the stablecoin hype: new currencies cause friction, heavy cognitive load. so while I totally subscribe to the benefits infrastructure, I'm interested on the consumer side 1) how we get consumers to hold stablecoins and 2) incentives to adjust how they transact.

isn't the revenue meta just coming to realization that we should trade crypto like stocks?

Die Nachfrage nach CIRC auf öffentlichen Märkten sagt uns etwas. Krypto-Reibung ist real. Skepsis gegenüber Krypto ist real. Aber die Validierung öffentlicher Märkte beseitigt beide Dinge, gibt Käufern Sicherheit und zeigt ein breites Interesse.

bitcoin apps are interesting because BTC is so widely distributed (first to market, first ETF, first adopted by institutions/govts), apps act in service of existing needs. whereas for alts, apps are taking on the responsibly for broadening the distribution of their host chains.

eine wichtige Erkenntnis von @solana accelerate ist, dass sie das Format perfekt getroffen haben. ~7 Minuten Vorträge. kein Geschwafel oder langatmige Panels, in denen Typen ihren Hintergrund erzählen und versuchen, die Zeit zu füllen. Gründer kommen auf die Bühne, sprechen darüber, was sie tun, und geben dann an den Nächsten weiter. Mehr sollten das tun.

an interesting GTM approach for any emerging tech (see: crypto) is evoking the response "how did you do that?"

which means: start with a product showcasing the end result, make that relationship sticky, then market that product as an example of the tech to license/leverage.

think many are thinking launchpads compete with VC. but that's not the case. really, these founders/projects have difficulty raising VC, aren't shooting for $B outcomes, but can capture meaningful $ in a short amount of time.

so good avenue for an underserved segment of market.

Damit diese Startplattformen echte Unternehmen unterstützen können, müssen sie Mechanismen entwerfen, bei denen Gebühren/Volumen den Schwanz im Vergleich zum Kopf speisen.

Bis dahin werden Schnappmechaniken ihr Geschäft nur in die Gräben ziehen. & das Spiel bleibt dasselbe.

actually insane what @wearehume has done for bringing crypto media mainstream. just spotify alone, 3 of their 5 virtual artists have a collective:

- 1,000,000 monthly listeners
- multiple 1,000,000+ streamed tracks

this is just on Spotify. a web2 platform.

you can be frustrated by things in crypto, but you shouldn't ignore it.
