Fogo cannot promise permanently low fees, flawless coordination, or perfect decentralization alongside demanding hardware standards. What it can do is commit to a design philosophy. Building on the Solana Virtual Machine is a deliberate choice: prioritize performance, accept operational complexity, and engineer around real-world constraints.
A high-performance Layer 1 is not a sports car built for empty roads. It is more like a transit system serving a crowded city. Its true strength is measured not by how fast it moves in ideal conditions, but by how steady it remains when everyone is trying to move at once.
