Zcash (ZEC) is a highly significant cryptocurrency in the blockchain world, well-known for providing its users with enhanced privacy and anonymity in transactions. Forked from Bitcoin's core codebase in 2016, this currency does not maintain the transparency of common cryptocurrencies; instead, it offers privacy as an optional feature (Optional Privacy). The core foundation of Zcash is a sophisticated cryptographic technique called zk-SNARKs (Zero-Knowledge Proof). By utilizing this technology, the Zcash network ensures that a transaction is valid, but none of the sensitive information—sender, receiver, or the transaction amount—is disclosed.
A crucial technical aspect of Zcash is its transaction processing speed, or TPS (Transactions Per Second). Since Zcash has two types of transactions—transparent and shielded—its speed also varies. While processing ordinary transparent transactions is relatively fast, verifying shielded transactions using zk-SNARKs requires significantly more computational power. Consequently, Zcash's current TPS is generally limited to between 6 and 26. However, to change this slower pace, the Electric Coin Co. (ECC) is working on initiatives like "Project Tachyon," aiming to increase the TPS to over 1,000.
Regarding its Decentralization, Zcash follows a strong model similar to Bitcoin. It also employs the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, which encourages anyone to run a full node or participate in the mining process. However, the pursuit of high TPS and the computational burden of zk-SNARKs might make decentralization somewhat vulnerable if hardware requirements increase in the future—pointing to the challenges of the Blockchain Trilemma (the trade-off between Decentralization, Security, and Scalability).
In terms of mining, Zcash is also compatible with Bitcoin. Although it uses PoW for mining, Zcash employs the Equihash algorithm instead of Bitcoin’s SHA-256. While Equihash was initially designed for GPU mining, specialized ASIC miners are now used for profitable mining. Income from mining is entirely dependent on the current market price of ZEC, the power of the mining hardware, and the cost of electricity.
Finally, August 2025 was a remarkable period for the sudden surge in Zcash’s price. The massive price inflation was primarily driven by two factors: First, a massive surge in investor interest in privacy-focused assets due to increasing financial surveillance worldwide. During this time, the amount of ZEC held in Zcash's Shielded addresses increased significantly. Second, speculation about the conversion of the Grayscale Zcash Trust into a Spot ETF created optimism among institutional investors regarding the future demand for ZEC. All these factors collectively propelled Zcash toward a rapid ascent.

ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রার সাফল্য :
সরকারি বেসরকারি সংস্থার ট্রাকিং ছাড়াই পরিচয় গোপন করে লেনদেন সম্পন্ন করতে সফল হয়েছে ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রা । ইতোমধ্যে অনেক ওয়েবসাইটে ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রা পেমেন্ট হিসেবে বৈধতা পেয়েছে। আমেরিকার স্টক মার্কেটে অনেক ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রা লিস্ট হয়েছে। স্টক মার্কেটে লিস্ট হওয়া ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রাকে ETF Token বলে । ETF Token সম্পর্কে আরও জানতে চাইলে কমেন্ট করুন।
ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রার নিরাপত্তা :
একটি ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রা যত বেশি ডিসেন্ট্রাললাইজ সেটি তত বেশি নিরাপদ। আপনি কি জানেন কেন বিটকয়েনের দামই সব থেকে বেশি? আপনি হয়তো বলতে পারেন এটি প্রথম মুদ্রা তাই ( একদমই না ) । অনেকে বলে এটি লিমিটেড সাপ্লাই তাই ( একদমই না) । বিটকয়েনের মার্কেটে cap বেশি তাই ( একদমই না) । বিটকয়েনের দাম বেশি হওয়ার কারণ হলো এটি সবথেকে বেশি ডিসেন্ট্রালাইজ । এখন কথা হতে পারে একটা কয়েন কতটুকু ডিসেন্ট্রিলাজ সেটা বোঝা যাবে কিভাবে? যে কয়েন এর miners বা ভালিডেটরস সংখ্যা বেশি এবং TPS (transaction per second )সংখ্যা কম সেই কয়েন বেশি ডেসেন্ট্রালাইজ। বিটকয়েনের TPS সংখ্যা মাত্র ৭ । সোলোনার TPS সংখ্যা ১২০০+ এর বেশি। একটা নেটওয়ার্ক এ থাকা বেশি ভ্যালিডেটর সংখ্যা সে নেটওয়ার্কের বেশি নিরাপদ গড়ে তোলে। বিটকয়েন এবং ইথিরিয়ামে লক্ষ লক্ষ ভ্যালিডেটর আছে। তাই এগুলো বেশি নিরাপদ। ব্লকচেইন প্রযুক্তির কারণে এটি হ্যাক করা সম্ভব নয়।

ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রার যুখিপুর্ণ জটিলতা:
অনেক উপকারিতা থাকলেও এর সব থেকে বড় জটিলতা হলো এটির দাম সবসময় অস্থির থাকে। যার কারণে কোন লেনদেনের পর বিটকয়েনের hold করা যায়না । বিভিন্ন ওয়েবসাইটে ক্রিপ্টো পেমেন্ট সিস্টেম থাকলেও সেই ওয়েবসাইট গুলো পেমেন্ট পাওয়ার সাথে সাথে ক্রিপ্টোমুদ্রাগুলোকে ফিয়াট মুদ্রায় কনভার্ট করে ফেলে। এটি এখনো আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে লেনদেনের কাজে আসতেসে না। আর বড় একটি সমস্যা হলো এটি ডিসেন্ট্র্যালাইজ হওয়ার পরও এর দামের মধ্যে কিছু মানুষ নিয়ন্ত্রণ আনছে। যেমন : ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প , এলন মাস্ক । Decentralize হওয়ার পরও অনেক বিপুল পরিমাণ ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রা ক্রিপ্টো এক্সচেঞ্জ এর দখল এ আসে। যা ডিসেন্ট্রালয় সিস্টেমকে সেন্ট্রালাইজ করে তুলসে। শুধু তাই নয় এখন পর্যন্ত যত ক্রিপ্টো প্রজেক্ট তৈরি হয়েছে তার মধ্যে ৮০% এই fail হয়েছে । অনেক মুদ্রা এক্সচেঞ্জ হোস্টেড হয়ে গেছে

সর্বশেষ কথা আমার পক্ষ থেকে:
ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রা কত দূরে এগোতে পারবে সেটা আমি জানি না। কিন্তু বর্তমানে যা চলছে সেটি প্রায় ক্যাসিনোর মত হয়ে যাচ্ছে। মানুষ ক্রিপ্টো মুদ্রাকে লেনদেনের জন্য ব্যবহার না করে সেটার মধ্যে টাকা ইনকাম করার চেষ্টা করছে বিনিয়োগ করছে। ক্রিপ্টোমুদ্রাটি ডিসেন্ট্রালাইজ হওয়ার পরও সেটা সেন্টারলাইজ অথোরিটি দ্বারা নিয়ন্ত্রিত হচ্ছে।
