El mercado venezolano de criptomonedas vivió este viernes una jornada de alta tensión, luego de que el precio del dólar Tether (USDT) experimentara una marcada volatilidad en las plataformas de intercambio P2P (persona a persona). En cuestión de horas, la cotización pasó de un máximo cercano a los 780 bolívares a estabilizarse alrededor de los 580 bolívares, generando incertidumbre entre usuarios y comerciantes que utilizan esta #stablecoin como refugio de valor.

Ante este comportamiento inusual, Binance, una de las plataformas más utilizadas en el país para operaciones cripto entre pares, anunció la implementación de límites temporales de precio en su mercado P2P. La medida fue comunicada a través de su canal oficial de Telegram:
"Durante períodos de alta volatilidad, Binance puede aplicar límites temporales de precio como control de riesgo para prevenir conductas abusivas y resultados comerciales injustos”, indicó la empresa.

La compañía aclaró que los precios en su plataforma P2P son determinados por la oferta y la demanda de los usuarios, pero que en contextos extremos puede intervenir para proteger la integridad del mercado. Aunque no se especificaron los rangos ni la duración de los límites, la decisión responde a movimientos atípicos registrados en Venezuela, donde el USDT se ha convertido en una herramienta clave para transacciones cotidianas, ahorro y cobertura frente a la inflación.

Según datos publicados en Binance Square, el pasado 2 de enero la tasa de referencia del USDT era de 572,15 bolívares, pero en días recientes algunas ofertas de compra superaron los 900 bolívares, antes de retroceder bruscamente.
