#BlueWhale‬ Morning Diary 23/2/11 (Day 111)

1⃣️ Reflection/Flow [Is improving cognition just an illusion?]

Many people will tell you to read, just as many will tell you to drink water. You know it's important, but you may not necessarily do it. When a person lacks water for a long time, their body deteriorates; similarly, when thoughts are not nourished with new ideas for a long time, they will also wither.

Reading is such a waste of time, and you can't see immediate results. Wouldn't it be better to spend that time on research and trading?

In fact, these are complementary. The knowledge gained from reading can change your overall strategy. For instance, if you read more of Buffett's books, you will pay special attention to value, risk, safety margins, and project research.

Cognition can also help you in that moment of trading, deciding how much leverage to use, whether to go long or short, which is the moment that determines victory or defeat. So, isn't reading important?

You can think of it this way: if you are willing to read a good book a year, your annual return could increase by 1%. This might motivate you more to read.

2⃣️ Recent good article recommendations

<Rockefeller's autobiography>

An American tycoon, as well as an industrialist and philanthropist. This book provides a glimpse into the thoughts and mindset of the wealthy. Imagine if you were Rockefeller facing the same problems at each stage, how would you choose? And if you followed your choices, would you still be wealthy?

3⃣️ Gratitude and good luck

Thanks to the Bitcoin Punk (NFT project on Bitcoin) team for explaining the trading mechanism related to ordinals. Since there is currently no secondary trading platform or wallet for NFTs on Bitcoin, it can only be traded OTC. If you are not familiar with this area, it's better not to get involved, as the risks are much higher than those of projects in the public sea.
