'Forgotten Playland' on Avalanche integrates NFT in the biggest update ever
Forgotten Playland, a social party game on Beam L1 (Avalanche network), has just launched its biggest update, integrating blockchain and NFT for in-game items. This allows players to truly own and trade digital assets within the game economy.
#NFT and FP Token: Changing the way we play
The update enables most in-game assets to become freely tradable NFTs, consisting of two types: Cosmetic NFTs (skins, emojis) and Toybox NFTs (limited item packs). According to Zico Bakker, co-founder of Duckland Games, these NFTs enhance personalization, social expression, and expand the trading market. Along with the Forgotten Playland token (
#FP ), they create a vibrant economy, supporting play-to-airdrop campaigns like the current FLUFFY point campaign. This motivates players to engage deeper due to financial and social incentives.
New content and collaborative vision
The game also adds a wealth of new content such as battle passes, Toybox, and soon, two new party games with the Plushkyn Battle feature. Forgotten Playland, developed by Vermillion (a collaboration between Duckland Games and Beam Foundation), is part of the growing gaming ecosystem on Beam Network. Bakker emphasizes that this collaboration brings low gas fees, fast processing, and advanced technology, aiming to create a fun game for many players. Forgotten Playland is a free PC game, available on the Epic Games Store.
