The whole saga wraps up in less than a week, specifically on January 30th with the expiration of "Options" contracts.

So what's exactly going on?
Bitcoin is currently parked at a super sensitive spot (the equilibrium zone) around 88K dollars:
Above this level: "Market makers" are forced to sell everything once the price rises, and buy everything once it drops. Meaning any pump gets "deflated" and the price snaps back to the middle.

Below this level: The whole dynamic flips—the selling snowballs into more selling, and market tension ramps up instead of cooling off.

That's why the price keeps bouncing back to the same point every time... This isn't just "trading"—it's "market mechanics."

Why is 90K such a strong "wall"?
A ton of folks are betting big (Call contracts) on 90K. The firms that sold them those contracts, to hedge themselves, are forced to sell "cash" Bitcoin every time the price nears 90K.

So what you see as "selling pressure" is actually a forced move to keep the price pinned down.
And why is 85K "safety"?
The exact opposite happens here... There are heavy bets (Put contracts) at 85K, so every time the price dips there, the firms are compelled to buy to balance their positions.

That's why any drop gets snapped up lightning-fast.

On January 30, 2026 (the last Friday of the month), all these contracts expire, and that's when the "shackles" holding the price in place will snap free.
