RSI momentum - Strategy: RSI Cross + 40 Touch Confirmation

Indicators Needed

1. RSI (14) — purple line

2. RSI MA (Moving Average of RSI) — yellow line (can use 9-period SMA or EMA applied to RSI)

3. RSI Levels: 30, 40, 60, 70 (we’ll mainly focus on 40 in this method)

Entry Conditions (Buy Trade)

1. RSI Cross Up

RSI (purple) must cross above its RSI MA (yellow).

This crossing candle is called the "Crossover Candle".

2. 40 Level Touch Confirmation

After the cross happens, RSI should come down and touch the 40 mark at least once (not necessarily on the same candle, but after the cross).

Once it touches 40 and holds above it (no closing below 40), prepare for entry.

3. Buy Trigger

Enter on the NEXT candle after the RSI touches 40 and starts to rise again.

Stop Loss

Place SL at the low of the Crossover Candle (the candle where RSI first crossed above RSI MA).

Take Profit

Can target 1:2 risk-to-reward (e.g., if SL is 50 points, aim for 100 points TP).

Alternatively, close when RSI reaches 60–70 zone or shows signs of reversal.

Extra Notes

Avoid trading in extremely choppy conditions (RSI stuck between 40–60 for long periods).

Works best during active BTC market sessions (London + New York overlap).

Confirm with price action — e.g., bullish candle patterns near the RSI 40 touch give stronger setups.
