Hemi Launches Mainnet With Over 50 Ecosystem Partners

Today, the Hemi team is proud to announce it has reached the pivotal “mainnet” milestone. In other words, Hemi is now ready for general use and we encourage developers and users to begin exploring it today.
We set out to build a supernetwork that presents as “One Network, Powered by Bitcoin and Ethereum.” Our partners and community have responded.

Ecosystem

From the earliest days of building Hemi, one message has resonated with people closest to the project — the importance of having a complete network available on Day One. (Check out the complete guide.)
So, we wanted to make sure that we launched with everything one needs to get started, and more. This includes:
Swap — Trade assets with integrated DEXs including iZiSwap, Sushi Swap, Uniswap, and DODO, which allow users to use Bitcoin to provide liquidity and farm yields, or to initiate swaps. Lending — Layerbank, LendOS, offer lending, borrowing, and asset growth optionsCross-chain connectivity: In addition to our Tunnels, Stargate and Meson for asset transfers.Perpetual futures — Enter leveraged positions on Bitcoin with BitPerp’s perpetual future, which feature competitive fees and deep liquidity. Synthetic assets — Create a variety of synthetic assets with Metronome, backed by collateral from numerous chains, and with Satoshi Protocol use Bitcoin as collateral to support the issuance of a synthetic stablecoin, SatUSD.  Yield-generating protocols — Hemi supports a wide range of yield-generating protocols including deposits for EVM-based Bitcoin on Hemi Optimizer. Utilize white glove services to liquid stake assets via BitFi. Hemi also supports Desyn with advanced portfolio management features and Spectra, an EVM-based protocol to tokenize future yield and principal with interest-bearing assets. 
This is to say nothing of the TVL commitments the team announced previously, with early depositors bringing nine figures of liquidity to Hemi. 
Technology

Integration and scaling of Bitcoin and Ethereum have always been approached separately within their respective ecosystem tribes. Even attempts to “ethereumize” Bitcoin don’t necessarily offer full access to Ethereum. 
Approaching Bitcoin and Ethereum as components of a larger supernetwork unlocks the new applications for Web3 and, more broadly, delivers needed capabilities to the Internet as a whole.

Hemi Virtual Machine (hVM) — An Ethereum Virtual Machine wrapped around a Bitcoin node, delivering best-possible access to the respective states of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Hemi Bitcoin Kit (hBK) — Making hVM’s granular Bitcoin awareness accessible to developers to unlock previously impractical or even impossible Bitcoin applications. 
Proof-of-Proof Consensus — The most decentralized, censor-resistant way to achieve Bitcoin-level security. “Superfinality” — Bitcoin-level security in just a couple of hours
Tunnels — Hemi’s Tunnels system is a more secure way to move assets from Bitcoin to Hemi and from Hemi to Ethereum. You can more securely move Bitcoin and Ethereum assets through Hemi — no middlemen needed. Just hVM.Encapsulation — Package digital assets into an NFT, which allows you to provide gasless transfer, onchain password protection, 2FA, and more.

DeFi Infrastructure
Liquid Staking and Restaking –  Hemi is the home to liquid staking and restaking solutions designed to maximize compounding passive returns of allocated assets. Serving both Bitcoin and EVM-based asset ecosystems, Cygnus staking introduces automated mechanisms for portfolio management. Likewise, Pell offers an omnichain staking solution where you can earn by staking assets to extend security and functionality to connected networks. Earn with Satlayer, where Bitcoin acts as a primary security collateral deployed to Babylon smart contracts to bolster connected dApp infrastructures.
DeFi Infrastructure
HemiBTC & Tunnel – Hemi offers sovereign tunnels to move Bitcoin from its origin chain and back, facilitated via decentralized smart contracts and multi-signature vaults that ensure no single party manages assets. Once Bitcoin is tunneled to Hemi it becomes HemiBTC, which is pegged to the exact value of Bitcoin and corresponds to the multi-signature vaulted reserves allocated by a user’s wallet in the tunnel.
