The Truebit protocol has reportedly suffered a major security incident that sent shockwaves across the crypto market, triggering a dramatic collapse in the price of its native token, Truebit (TRU). According to on-chain analysts and multiple blockchain monitoring platforms, the exploit may have resulted in losses exceeding $26 million worth of Ether (ETH).
In an official statement published on X (formerly Twitter), representatives of Truebit confirmed that the protocol had detected malicious activity involving one or more hostile actors. The team stated that it is currently working closely with law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity experts while taking all necessary measures to mitigate the impact and investigate the root cause of the incident.
