@Walrus 🦭/acc is backed by the some of the most notable VC's in the crypto industry. They have raised $140M combined in Private Token Sale. #Walrus has one of the deepest pocket in terms of investor backings. This shows VC's confidence in the project and future growth. VC's allocations are in lock-up period which is very important for the token valuation. Only 7% is owned by them which is gonna unlock in March 2026. This will be a very important event for the project as we may see a new price discovery their move may not impact the token price with a very huge correction but it will show their confidence in the project which can't be overlooked by the long term investors. A NEW BEGINING OF $WAL WILL BE SEEN AFTER MARCH.

Diamo un'occhiata ai progetti di Infrastruttura di Archiviazione Decentralizzata (DSI) oltre al @Walrus 🦭/acc per capire meglio, li ho raggruppati in base alla capitalizzazione di mercato, ma prima di ciò ti darò una panoramica su quanto è grande l'industria; la capitalizzazione di mercato totale del settore DSI è valutata tra 7,4 miliardi e 9 miliardi, con proiezioni per raggiungere $61,2 miliardi entro il 2034. I token principali vedono un volume giornaliero di $50 milioni a $500 milioni in totale, a seconda delle condizioni di mercato. Questo progetto si basa sulla tecnologia IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) che gestisce come i file sono indirizzati e spostati; invece di utilizzare un URL (basato sulla posizione), utilizza un Content ID (basato su hash) per trovare i dati indipendentemente da dove siano memorizzati. #Filecoin è il livello di incentivo (il denaro) che paga le persone per mantenere la mappa funzionante, come $WAL è per #Walrus .

I was studying the whitepaper of #walrus and find it very impressive and forced me to write about it also it is on creatorpad task. I will summarize the key takeaways from the whitepaper which I found attractive in later posts I am gonna compare it with other decentralized storage system and the important usage of the decentralized storage system in our daily life and crypto and further discuss other important takeaways.

The CORE INNOVATION is THE RED STUFF (The Heart of the @Walrus 🦭/acc ).

Firstly what matters in the decentralized storage system the most?

Security and privacy, Right?

$WAL has introduced a 2D erasure coding protocol instead of making copies of the data it uses 2D erasure coding which is cheap compared to traditional storage system protocol and safer. It fragments data into small pieces called slivers and distribute it globally so no node holds the complete file this plays an important role in privacy. If a single node holds the complete file than it is highly likely that during a compromistaion our data privacy and security can be breached. You know what fascinating about the protocol is the part which I like the most is that even if 2/3rd of the node which have a fragmented data file gets malicious or offline the protocol can reconstruct the original data.

Most of the decentralized storage system faces challenge in storing data as the system deletes the existing stored data to save space. So $WAL is the first protocol to use asynchronous networks to overcome this challenge. This prevents adversaries from gaining access during network delays. Network delays generally help the adversaries to pass the verification system without actually processing the data. @Walrus 🦭/acc has end-to-end encryption with storage layer for encypted blobs with authenticity that If a single bit is changed it won't verify the node. As it is on Sui ecosystem it uses Proof-of-stake (dPOS) to penalize malicious node. With this security protocol it serves as a major upgrade in crypto.
