The Binance Portfolio Margin is a cross-asset margin mode that consolidates the balances in the Cross Margin, USDⓈ-M Futures, and COIN-M Futures Wallets of your account.
Moreover, it supports over 360 cryptocurrencies across these wallets as one single joint collateral to determine the account’s equity, margin balance, and maintenance margin requirement.
All the assets supported under the Binance Portfolio Margin and their respective collateral rate as margin assets (haircut) are listed on the perpetual Trading Rules page under [Portfolio Margin] - [Collateral Ratio & Leverage].
Please note that:
1. Transfer-in limits
2. Position limits
Default position limits in USDⓈ-M and COIN-M Futures are maintained for each symbol on the Binance Portfolio Margin Program.
You can refer to the USDⓈ-M Futures and COIN-M Futures tables in the [Leverage & Margin] section to view the notional limits for all listed symbols.
3. Collateral rate calculation
The USD value of all assets in the Cross Margin, USDⓈ-M Futures, and COIN-M Futures Wallets will be calculated based on the specified collateral rate.
For example, if the collateral rate for BTC is 95%, and you have 1 BTC in your Cross Margin Wallet, 1 BTC in your USDⓈ-M Futures Wallet (from realized PNL from trading and funding fees on BTC-margined symbols), and 1 BTC in your COIN-M Futures Wallet, then your margin asset value is calculated as:
3 BTC * 0.95 = 2.85 BTC.
4. Open loss rule
The calculation of Adjusted Equity and Unified Account Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR) takes into account the Open Loss rule. This means that the difference in collateral rates between the quote and base assets can result in a reduction in the uniMMR calculation. For more information, please refer to What Is the Unified Account Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR) And How Is It Calculated.
5. Max leverage for Cross Margin
You can find the maximum leverage available for various assets under Cross Margin within the Portfolio Margin mode here.
