Learning to Slow Down Before Entering Trades
Something I’ve been noticing in my learning journey is how most of the pressure comes before the trade — not after it.
When you’re new, the first instinct is to enter quickly as soon as price moves. But the more I observe charts, news, and sentiment, the more I realize how important the “pause phase” is.
That pause is where you:
• understand why price is moving
• check if narrative matches the move
• review levels and ranges
• and think about your own risk, not someone else’s
Right now, I’m still practicing this. I don’t always get it right, but slowing down has already stopped me from rushing into setups I didn’t understand.
