Alex Honnold: Free solo conquers 508 meters, the true "All-in" 🧗♂️🇹🇼
While we were still worried about a 5% drop, legendary climber Alex Honnold showed us what true risk management (or complete lack of risk management) looks like.
He conquered Taipei 101 (508 meters) in a "free solo" manner—no ropes, no protection devices, no room for error.
Key data:
🔹 Height: 101 stories of steel and glass.
🔹 Time: 1 hour 31 minutes (twice as fast as previous record holder Alain Robert).
🔹 Live broadcast: Netflix live stream (with a 10-second delay, just in case of "emergencies").
Even Alain Robert, the "French Spider-Man" who climbed the tower with safety ropes in 2004, expressed admiration for Honnold's speed and perseverance. At the summit, Alex encountered strong winds, but he said the view of Taipei was worth it all.
In the cryptocurrency space, we often say "To the Moon," but Honnold proves that reaching the summit requires a steel will and perfect focus.
