About Curve DAO (CRV)
Curve DAO Token (CRV) is an ERC-20 token used within the Curve.fi decentralized exchange (DEX), which is built on the Ethereum blockchain. It supports various functions on the platform, including governance and liquidity incentives.
Curve.fi is a protocol that facilitates the exchange of Ethereum-based assets through an automated market maker (AMM) system. The platform is structured around liquidity pools, allowing users to trade with reduced slippage and lower fees, particularly for stablecoins and similarly priced tokens. It also supports wrapped versions of popular cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin.
Following Ethereum’s transition to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus model, Curve continues to operate on the Ethereum network, aligning with the updated protocol standards while maintaining its focus on efficient decentralized trading.
Curve DAO was established in 2020 by Michael Egorov, a physicist and software developer. The CRV token is used for governance, enabling holders to vote on decisions related to the platform’s development, protocol changes, and fee structures. It also serves as a reward for users who contribute liquidity to the Curve pools.
Curve DAO Token has a maximum supply of 3.03 billion CRV, with approximately 1.42 billion CRV currently in circulation.
CRV is listed on Binance for trade and purchase. The current price of CRV is updated in real-time on Binance.
