When Privacy Meets Financial Rules
Recently, a Dusk is based on the premise that privacy needs to exist in the regulated financial system too. Most blockchains have to choose between either privacy or control. We are trying to build a system that has the best of both worlds with regards to both privacy and control. It enables financial information to remain private while still enabling an institution to satisfy the regulatory requirements imposed upon it.
This has implications for the long run. Financial institutions, funds, and businesses cannot work with infrastructure that puts everything on display. They must also not disregard rules and regulations related to going digital. Dusk has designed infrastructure with the above objectives in mind, balancing the need to verify without having to display everything.
Speed and hype aside, it’s all about architecture. If properly regulated finance goes on chain, solutions such as Dusk become mandatory, not optional
