About Cronos (CRO)

Cronos is a decentralized network and cryptocurrency coin founded and launched by Crypto.com in 2021. An EVM blockchain, the Cronos network is known for its seamless compatibility with the Ethereum and Cosmos blockchains.

Users can move digital assets quickly in and out of Ethereum, Cosmos, and other networks thanks to Cronos’ network, which was developed with Inter Blockchain Communications (IBC) technology. This enables Ethereum and other EVM-compatible blockchains to be fully interoperable through its digital platform.

Cronos is powered by Ethermint, which facilitates the rapid porting of decentralized applications (DApps) and cryptocurrency assets to and from Ethereum and other EVM-based networks. Cronos’ native cryptocurrency, CRO, is an ERC-20 token that acts as the base settlement coin for Cronos’ decentralized blockchain network.
