About Marinade (MNDE)
Marinade.finance is a staking protocol on the Solana blockchain where users can stake their SOL tokens either natively or through the liquid staking mechanism to selected Solana validators. When users chose to liquid stake their SOL assets, they receive an equal amount of ‘marinated SOL’ (mSOL) in return. mSOL tokens represent the staked assets that can be traded and used in various DeFi activities within the Solana ecosystem. This system lets users earn rewards while keeping their assets liquid on Solana, helping to support the network's decentralization and security.
The system includes an MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) marketplace and an Open Doors Program. This to increase total value locked (TVL) in the system and to encourage more people to become validators. In the MEV marketplace, these validators get extra rewards when they make transactions more efficient. Meanwhile, the Open Doors Program gives extra incentives to new validators who are investing SOL.
Marinade.finance is governed and built by a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).The protocol’s native token is MNDE which has multiple purposes within the Marinade ecosystem. Mainly, it is used for governance, which means token holders can join in making important decisions about protocol fees, treasury management, and validator selection. Plus, MNDE tokens can be used to gather rewards through Marinade's reward schemes, including mining for liquidity and other DeFi additions. The live price of MNDE is updated in real time on Binance.
