🔍 Lo que está pasando en Corea del Sur
1. Ampliación de la categoría de empresas de venture
El gobierno coreano propuso modificar la ley de start-ups (“Special Act on Promoting Venture Businesses”) para permitir que empresas de cripto —como casas de cambio, brokers de activos virtuales, y plataformas VASP— puedan ser certificadas como venture companies.
Hasta ahora, desde 2018, estas empresas estaban excluidas de esta categoría y colocadas junto con industrias “restringidas” como casinos o bares nocturnos, lo cual les impedía acceder a ciertos beneficios gubernamentales.

2. Beneficios que obtendrán
Al ser reconocidas como empresas venture, podrán acceder a incentivos fiscales: cortes de impuestos corporativos, reducción de impuestos sobre ingresos, descuentos en impuestos relacionados con bienes inmuebles comerciales, etc.
También acceso a financiamiento estatal, garantías de crédito, subsidios para investigación y desarrollo, ayudas estatales para innovación, etc.

La reforma está aprobándose para que entre en vigor el 16 de septiembre de 2025.
Se modificará el decreto de ejecución asociado a la ley de empresas venture (la Enforcement Decree) para eliminar la restricción que impedía a firmas de cripto calificar.
