Meta has unveiled a smart wristband that lets you control computers and AR glasses using just your hand gestures—no mouse, keyboard, or screen touch needed.

Called sEMG-RD the device reads tiny electrical signals from muscles in your forearm and wrist. These signals are turned into digital commands, letting you move a cursor, open apps, or type in the air by simply making gestures.

Trained on data from thousands of users, the wristband doesn’t need individual setup and can even sense your intention to move before you physically do it—offering major benefits for people with motor disabilities.

Meta has already shown the wristband working with its Orion AR glasses and plans to bring this technology to future products.
