🔥Canada Tightens Crypto Custody Rules to Safeguard Investors After Quadriga CX Collapse🔥🔥🔥

Canada’s investment regulator (CIRO) announced a new Digital Asset Custody Framework on 3 Feb 2026. The rules tighten security, governance and insurance requirements for any platform that holds crypto for Canadian investors, directly addressing the 2019 QuadrigaCX collapse that left about $123 million missing.

The risk‑based framework aims to prevent hacks, fraud and custody failures and applies to all dealer‑member trading platforms in Canada.
